When performing my Chicago speech I was attempting an American accent which was very forced and didn't feel natural to me. When performing in front of my peer i tried the american accent but, it didn't go very well because i wasn't comfortable with it. So, i did the monologue in my normal voice adding in expression when needed and i was told that "it sounded so much better and less forced". I think my improvement for next time is getting more into the character i could do this by researching them or maybe even practising the american accent.
